Benefits of Essential Oil Scents

Essential oils are often used in aromatherapy. A form of alternative medicine that employs plant extracts to support your well-being and even health. Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants and the unique aromatic compounds give each essential oil its characteristic essence!

Here at NAKEnDLE we have created different scent blends of wax melts for when you need to relax and unwind. Made from the pure cosmetic grade essential oils, each scent is complimented by a dried botanical extract that's inside the melt.

Sandalwood essential oil is often found in perfumes and air fresheners. It’s a classic scent from a valuable tree. But the value of sandalwood oil may go beyond smell. Sandalwood may offer some health benefits as well.

Sandalwood essential oil has many traditional uses.

For centuries, East Indian sandalwood oil has been a popular ingredient in Ayurvedic medicine, the folk medicine of India. It’s also been used in traditional Chinese medicine for a range of different health problems.

This wax melt is also infused with Rose and Clove. The smell of roses can reduce stress and lower the heart rate. The rose aroma has been shown to have anti-depressant benefits as it is traditionally used to calm and uplift. Plus, clove has even been known to relieve aspiratory conditions like cough and asthma!

Used in aromatherapy applications, Cedarwood Essential Oil helps to deodorise indoor environments, repel insects, prevent the development of mildew, improve cerebral activity, relax the body, enhance concentration, decrease hyperactivity, reduce harmful stress, ease tension and clear the mind… so literally everything!

Because of its warm properties, Cedarwood oil blends well with herbal oils like Pine and Clary Sage oils!

Pine Essential Oil is derived from the needles of the Pine Tree, commonly recognised as traditional Christmas trees. Pine Essential Oil positively impacts the mood by clearing the mind of stresses, energising the body to help eliminate fatigue, enhancing concentration, and promoting a positive outlook. Which is something we all need a little boost of occasionally, right?!

Clary Sage is also known for stress reduction so this could be the perfect scent for you if you live a hectic life!

Black Pepper, Patchouli & Ylang

Black Pepper oil is an excellent remedy for sinusitis and nasal congestion and Patchouli oil

has a variety of additional uses throughout the world. Some of these include relieving depressive feelings providing feelings of relaxation and helping to ease stress. It has a characteristic scent. Woody, sweet, and spicy.

Ylang Ylang oil is less well known but has incredible health benefits! It made from the flowers of the herb Cananga odorata genuina. The smell of ylang ylang oil in aromatherapy is used for memory and thinking skills!

Lavender, Peppermint & Orange

Introducing our sweetest trio… Peppermint, Lavender and Orange! Once they are on your shelf, you really won’t know how you survived without them.

Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular and versatile essentials oils used in aromatherapy. Distilled from the plant Lavandula angustifolia, the oil promotes relaxation and believed to treat anxiety, fungal infections, allergies, depression, insomnia, nausea, and menstrual cramps.

Peppermint oil is usually promoted for topic use for problems like headaches, muscle aches, joint pain, and itching. But in aromatherapy, peppermint oil is promoted for treating coughs and colds, reducing pain, improving mental function, and reducing stress.

Most of us have all enjoyed one or more juicy oranges; to quench our thirst on a hot, sunny day or for a refreshing boost of energy. And, of course, orange juice is a breakfast drink staple for many people!

Orange essential oil has been associated with several health benefits, particularly when it comes to using it for aromatherapy. Some aromatherapy practitioners even believe inhaling it or absorbing it through the skin transmits messages to the region of our brain that processes our emotions and regulates the autonomic nervous system.

We have created organic essential oil blends for every mood. Whether you want to unwind or feel re-energised we have the blend for you!
